Blessed Be Your Name

Dear friends and family,
We have recently received the devastating news that our unborn child most likely has a terrible genetic disorder that causes many different anomolies. We have been told that if I don't miscarry ( I am 4 months along), our baby will die in child birth or very shortly after. We are devastated and absolutely heartbroken. There are no words for the pain that we are feeling right now, but we know that our God will sustain us. It is only through His strength and comfort that we know we can get through this.
We have chosen to find out the sex of our baby so that we can enjoy the time with them more intimately. Our precious baby is a little boy. We have named him Kyle Joseph ( Jason's middle name and Joseph is Jason's Pop Pop's name who is no longer with us).
We believe that our God can and does perform miracles, but we also know that He allows us to go through things for a reason. We don't know what that is now, but our prayer is that through this He will be glorified and we will make Him proud in how we handle this. Please pray that we will allow Jesus to carry us through this when we can't walk anymore. Pray that we accept the comfort and peace that He can only give.
Thank you for all of your love, support, and prayers ~ they are much needed right now. We love you and are so blessed that we don't have to go through this alone.

YOu left a comment on my daughter Jolene's blog. They are living proof that the Lord walks you through the toughest times of your life. Noah was our miracle even though he never took a breath on this earth. Enjoy your baby boy and say his name often. That is what we choose to do and we will never forget our first grandchild. Our prayers are with you and if you check my blog you will find a few more MGS stories, you are not as alone as you my feel right now. Verna Friesen aka Noah's Nana!!

Hey Nicole - I will be praying for you and baby Kyle and your whole family. I can't imagine how hard this must be. You might like to check out the blog "Bring the Rain" at http://audreycaroline.blogspot.com/ by Angie Smith (her husband is in the group Selah). They went through a really similar situation with their daughter Audrey. Please let me know if there's anything I can do at any time. Will be praying. Love, Becky

Hi there, I don't know you but just stumbled on your blog;

You are in my prayers and I hope this video (99 Balloons on You Tube) encourages you.

As a mother who has had two children born with serious problems (one with a genetic syndrome), I concur, "Blessed Be His Name."

He give His Cross to those He Loves.

Hi - I just stumbled across your blog from a message you left on Jolene and Hank's. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry you're going through such a tough time... I know exactly what you are going through because my first son Will was born with Meckel Gruber syndrome. I have a blog for him at http://our-son-will.blogspot.com if you'd like to have a look. It is a hard road to walk, but it is so worthwhile... I wouldn't have missed our time with Will for the world.
Also, feel free to get in touch if you'd like a chat, my email is turners(at)mallardsreach(dot)freeserve(dot)co(dot)uk (You'll need to change the words in brackets to the appropriate symbols: @ and .) Please know that I will be thinking of you and praying for you in the days and weeks ahead. With love, Alison x

I just came across your blog. We lost our son, Logan to Meckel-Gruber syndrome on April 1st. Please let me know if you'd like to chat sometime. I've found it helpful to talk to others that have "been there."

I'll be praying for you.
